astrological theory
Everything in nature is done with intention. As such, our lives are purposeful. A birth chart, also referred to as a natal chart is a snapshot of the composition of the planets at the moment you were born. This creates an astrological template that is unique to every individual, as determined by the date, time and location of your birth. This astrological template tells a story of your individual characteristics and preferences. It provides valuable insight into themes and patterns of our life, unveiling which parts may naturally be easy and which parts may present challenges to be worked through.
Through the analysis of the natal chart, we can gain a greater sense of self-understanding through identifying patterns of thoughts, feelings or behaviors. The exploration of your personal astrological make-up can promote a deeper understanding of your inner experiences. Through this process, we are better positioned to apply individual choice with a sense of timing, and to create a space of optimal change on our path of evolution.
As our earth rotates, so do the celestial bodies in the sky. As the planets move through their natural cycles they may come into aspect, or contact, with parts of our natal chart that can impart valuable opportunities for self-reflection and change. Through the application of astrological theory, we can examine current and future planetary positions that can support our growth and change process. As such, we can unlock the ability to cultivate deeply personal and unique transformations in alignment with the cyclical movement of the sky.
somatic healing
Through somatic processing, deep healing and self-integration can occur. Through the application of somatic healing, we will examine our parts of self and body wisdom to integrate them in a way that promotes self-knowledge.
Our parts of self are created by our life experiences. Difficult life experiences or trauma can result in physical pain, feelings of overwhelm, and the development of maladaptive coping mechanisms. This can manifest as tension in the body and contribute to unhelpful patterns in the way we think, behave, and interact with others that negatively impacts our sense of wholeness and self-understanding.
Somatic healing is an experiential modality aimed at increasing mind-body connection and facilitating integration. It is what is referred to as a “bottom-up” approach. This means that we first work with the body and its physical feelings as a means to access messages within our bodies.
By identifying and connecting with the body’s physical feelings, we can begin to process the greater wisdom contained within us. From this place of introspection, we are better able to understand and identify our emotions.
Clients can expect to gain deeper insight into what is holding them back from living in a way that is more aligned with their true, soul selves. This assists in cultivating a felt sense of personal alignment that helps us live in accordance with our highest truth.
POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGY
As a way to alchemize the knowledge we gain from our body wisdom through somatic healing, positive psychology focuses on the examination of our thought patterns as a means to cultivate healthy behaviors that ultimately lead to a happier life.
Positive psychology is the scientific study of happiness. It is what is referred to as a “top-down” approach. This means that we primarily work with the mind to examine our thoughts, feelings and behaviors as a way to create change and improve our quality of life and expand our joy.
The application of positive psychology creates space to explore our individual personal experiences, unique traits, skills, and strengths and assess them in relation to the world at large, which ultimately creates our reality.
In looking at our reality, we can identify where we may be blocked, or out of alignment with our true self and cultivate a sense of optimism in our lives.
